kincumber mountain

Ran the trotters kincumber mountain in 1:05:58. Reckon it was 14.5k. So if it was I ran 4:33 pace. Not a bad effort.
I felt really good the whole way.
Tomorrow I'm off to Sydney for a half marathon. Not expecting a fast time. I'll be happy to do in the 83min.
I'm going down with the trotters.
I have to get up at 3:30am!!!!!!

B'fast was a slice of banana & date toast & coffee from mcdonalds
Lunch was banana s'wich
Dinner was toast with honey
Went to the pub & had 6 beers...now ready for bed!

easy friday run & a cycle class

Legs are starting to get heavy. Ran 13.5k along the trotters flat 10 plus 2 laps of the haven & around some back streets of Terrigal. That took 1:05:09 (4:49km)
Did that run at 6:15am

Later in the day I did a cycle class

Feeling pretty tired & heavy now. I'll start to taper off next week. Then I'll start to feel much fresher.

Tomorrow I'm doing kincumber mountain with the trotters then staying in Sydney tomorrow night & doing the Sydney half marathon on Sunday.

I had 2 slices of toast & coffee for b'fast
Lunch was a bacon & cheese pie & an oj
Dinner had steamed rice with a mixture of sauces in it.

Well I'm buggered!
Might go have a beer & relax!

2 good runs.....very happy

Well today was exciting......2 runs & pain free!............woooohoooo man does that feel good:)
First one was 11.5k. That was up Kincumber mountain from the gym. I ran down the other side to the gate then ran back
It was quite muddy up there.

The second run was from OceanView to the haven where I did 1 lap then up the senic hwy to Charles kay then back. That was another 11.5k

Great day out there
So 23k run today in total

B'fast had 2 slices of toast with honey
After the first run had 1 slice of banana bread mmmmm yum! & a cupachino
After the second run had a salad
Dinner was stirfry vegies with blackbean sauce & noodles
Later had 4 slices of toast with honey

slow & steady!

I ran pretty slow really taking my time. Ran 13k around the streets of terrigal & 12laps of the haven. I started the run at 5:50am. My knee was good but it was tight.
Great running weather.

Later I got on the foam roller hooking into my ITB.

Well thats all I did....nothing exciting

Tomorrow is hills

B'fast was 4 slices toast with honey & coffee
Lunch was tuna salad & an apple
Arvo snack had 2 slices of toast
Dinner was creamy pasta & 3 slices of wholemeal bread

Drank only 2lt water

another longish run

I felt really good so I decided to run. Legs were a bit heavy from yesterday's 32k run so I just ran a moderate pace. Ran from the gym up the entrance rd to th waterslide then back along tumbi rd. 22km in total in 1:42:34. (4:39 a km)
I had no pain which is just fantastic!

The plan this week is to do big km's and get the legs really heavy. I have a 1/2 marathon in Sydney on Sunday. Then next week I'll start to taper & after 3 weeks of that I'm hoping the legs will feel light & fast!

B'fast was 2 slices of toast with this really yummy honey! I bought it in Bathurst....it's so fresh & yum!
Lunch was a salad roll
Afternoon snack was 2 slices of toast with honey
Dinner was vegie stirfry with noodles
Desert is a large bowl of mint choc chip icecream!

Drank 2 cups of coffee & 3lt of water

monday long run

Today's run was fantastic!
Ran 32k in 2:43:46. It was rather slow but I felt pretty good. Ran from Oceanview to the senic hwy to Avoca dve, all the way to the entrance rd. Went left to East Gosford, up wells st to Terrigal dve to Terrigal & back.
Knee was no pain at all.

Just had 3 tablespoons of honey & cup coffee before run.
After run went to Terrigal for a choc milkshake & 2 date & walnut scones
Lunch had salad roll & yoghurt
Dinner had big.....no rather a massive bowl of pasta.
Drank not enough water...only around 1lt

Tomorrow is normally a speedwork session but not sure what I'll do. Don't even know if I'll run or rest

Only 4 weeks to go.
I'll start to taper next week

8km Bathurst Jog....quite happy:)

What a great weekend! Had a blast. I could do that every week.
We got to Bathurst around 4:30pm & drove the course.
The race got started at 10:30am. Martin Dent from Canberra won. I don't what place I came but finished in 28:38 or 3:34min a km. Was trying to keep up with Joy Terry..(3rd female) Lost her going up the big hill. Knee was great!
I went there with Kerry (runners shop, this young gun runner Charlie. (he was only 1min behind me & only 12!) & Tara Wood. Tara finished in 32:15
After the race I ran another 6km so with the race, warmup & 6km warmdown around 17km ran today

B'fast had 3 slices of toast with jam, coffee, powerade
Lunch was late (3ish) had a really, really, really yummy hambuger, chips & choc milkshake from the cafe in the Blue Mountains.
Dinner had some filo pastry full of cheese. Now having some berry yoghurt.

Tomorrow I'm doing my long run of 35km
